Welcome to my blog—and to the new website! It’s always exciting to start something new, and I wanted to take the time to introduce myself and my work.

My passion is in giving clients beautiful, natural photographs. Because I look for the romance and artistry in everything, I’m always looking for new ways to incorporate light in every image I shoot. Stick around, and you’ll see plenty of beautiful images from weddings, engagements, and other personal shoots.

You’ll also see some of my own travels and other life stories on this blog, because I believe it’s important for my clients to get to know me personally. After all, you’re trusting me to be there for some of the most important moments in your lives!

My journey to wedding photography

In that vein, I started my journey as a wedding photographer in 2013, building up to full-time by the following year. One of the most memorable weddings was my second wedding, in September 2013. It was my brother’s big day, and I’m so grateful that he gave me that chance! I still remember being up at 4 in the morning looking up every last-minute pose, every location for the day. By the time I got done photographing the wedding and showed the slideshow at the reception, I knew that this was something I wanted to commit my life and career to. I was able to be with so many people, creating art and capturing memories while being surrounded by a fun energy. What can I say? I was hooked!

Of course, I don’t do it alone. I’ve been able to work with so many wonderful venues over the years, including Stotzfus Homestead & Gardens, Stone Mill Inn, and Country Club of York.

Now that my blog is up, I would also like to give a big thanks to Tonic Site Shop for their awesome website and to Christiana Laing for her website customizations and writing for the site.
