Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens Wedding John Malloy Photography

On a rainy day last July, Erin and Gabriel were married with a ceremony and reception at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens in Intercourse, PA. Erin and Gabriel are one of the sweetest couples I have had the pleasure of photographing. They were so full of love, both for each other and for their guests. Being the wedding photographer for their summer wedding was such a privilege.

Erin and Gabriel’s wedding day started out gray and rainy. But nothing could dampen their spirits on their special day at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens! I started out the day with Erin and her bridesmaids as they got ready in the bridal suite. There was a very special moment with Erin and her ladies. She did a first look with them! When she emerged, stunning in her gown, it was so touching. I could tell that the bond shared between Erin and her friends was deep. There were smiles and tears at her big reveal, followed by hugs all around. Erin went around the room, embracing each of the special ladies in her life.

Many of my wedding couples choose to do a first look before their ceremony, but Erin and Gabriel opted for something a little bit different. Instead of a traditional first look, they held hands before the ceremony and prayed together. It was a beautiful moment to capture, a moment of shared peace together before the excitement of the wedding ceremony. Of course, that allowed Gabriel to have his first impression of his bride as she came down the aisle.

Erin and Gabriel; had a beautiful ceremony in the barn. We took pictures around the property. The wedding photographs really turned out wonderful despite the rain. The umbrellas and grey skies made for unique and memorable rainy day wedding photography.

As the night went on, the rain finally passed and I was able to get the bride and groom outside for some evening pictures. I love the night time image of the two of them, now husband and wife, outside the barn underneath the romantic twinkle lights. It was such a beautiful moment of quiet celebration, just the two of them.
