Zandria & Devon : A Country Club of York Wedding

Country Club Of York Wedding John Malloy Photography

In November of 2018, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Zandria and Devon’s beautiful, late fall wedding, with a ceremony at York College Chapel and a reception at the Country Club of York in York, PA.

What an amazing couple this was to photograph!  The bride and groom looked amazing and I’m so grateful they gave me the honor of being their wedding photographer!

Zandria + Devon’s Beautiful Late Fall Wedding in York, PA

We started off the day at Zandria’s parents’ home in York.  Everyone was getting ready for the big day ahead!  I loved the shade of purple that was used for the groomsman ties and the bridesmaid dresses.  I think it really set off the aesthetic Zandria and Devon were going for.

After some photos with Zandria and her bridesmaids, she did a first look with her Father.  It was an incredibly sweet moment.  Her dad was absolutely beaming and so proud of his daughter.

Then, I stole the groomsman away for a quick session stroll around the block.  Devon and the guys looked great in their tuxes and you could really feel how excited Devon was to get to the main event.

Usually, I’ll ask the bride and groom if they also would like to do a first look before the ceremony, but Devon wanted to keep it a little more traditional.  They both opted for a “no look” on the front porch, holding hands instead and calming each other’s nerves with a little pre-ceremony pep talk.  I think Zandria might have stolen a quick peek anyways.  She couldn’t resist!  Devon just looked too handsome.  This couple is incredibly close and loving and I’m glad they got to “see” each other before the ceremony.

Soon it was time to head to York College Chapel to finally get these two hitched!

Devon’s patience definitely paid off when he saw his bride-to-be walk down the aisle.  Zandria took his breath away!  This was the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with and you could feel how much love they truly had for each other.

We took another quick stroll after the ceremony, this time with the entire wedding party in tow.  Everyone was having a blast and I got some great shots of Zandria and Devon surrounded by the fallen autumn leaves.

When we finally made it to the Country Club of York for the reception, everyone seemed ready to let loose and really get the celebrations underway.  The Country Club of York has a truly breathtaking main ballroom and the floral arrangements Zandria and Devon chose really made the whole place pop!

There was plenty of food, fun and dancing throughout the night.  I knew my job wouldn’t be done until I got a couple of quick nighttime shots with Zandria and Devon.  Just a quick moment to embrace and relax in each other’s company and rejoice over the fact that they were finally husband and wife!

At the end of the night, the guests all lit up sparklers and sent Zandria and Devon off.  I thought that was a great touch and made for some really incredible photos.

I’d like to give a quick shoutout to Zandria’s parents, Tom and Patricia.  They really know how to put on a wedding!  And I also want to give a huge congratulations to Zandria and Devon.  You guys made it!  You’re such a sweet couple.  Keep that love strong and there’s nothing that can stop you two!
