Long’s Park in Lancaster, PA has been a favorite photography spot of mine for some time now. For engagement photo shoots, is pure magic! So in the fall of 2018, I took Danielle and Jacob out to Long’s Park for an engagement session before their upcoming wedding in 2019. We had a blast and I got some amazing photos of this couple highlighting the true connection these two share.
Love In The Fall at Long’s Park | Danielle & Jacob
Danielle and Jacob share so much love with one another! You can tell by the way Jacob looks at Danielle that this is one of those once-in-a-lifetime connections. They were so tender and sweet with each other throughout the entire session.
We started out at the gazebo. It’s a tranquil spot where I like to let my couples relax and be close to each other before going out and exploring the other areas. And we couldn’t have asked for better weather the day of this shoot. The sun was playfully bouncing off the water, shimmering in the background and it made for some truly breathtaking shots. There’s even a little dock next to the gazebo that has always proven to be a great little spot to stop for a few shots as well.
Then we moved along to one of the bridges in Long’s Park that I love using for my engagement sessions. I love the way the bridge stands out against the green foliage standing on either side of it. The photos with Danielle and Jacob holding hands while walking across the bridge, sharing intimate moments are absolutely stunning. This is also a great spot for nighttime photos, as well. I’ll typically bring a backlight to place behind my couples for these bridge nighttime shots. When we revisited the bridge after the sun had set, the way the backlight illuminated Danielle’s hair, giving it a soft, golden glow looked amazing and came out perfect in the photos!
But before that, while the sun was on it’s way down, we wandered over to a little clearing in the trees for a few romantic shots of Danielle and Jacob. I know I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, these guys are so in love! When Jacob stares at Danielle and she stares back, you can literally see the magic happening. The look in their eyes said that they’d finally found the person they’re going to spend the rest of their lives with, and they couldn’t be happier with the decision. They were just so there and present with each other, fully in the moment. It was incredibly beautiful and I’m so glad I got to capture it on camera!
These two are going to be tying the knot this year on October 19th and I couldn’t be more excited for their wedding at Stolzfus Homestead & Gardens! Danielle and Jacob, thanks for giving me the chance to photograph such a beautiful couple. You guys really are a perfect match and I’m so happy that you found each other. Here’s to making more wonderful memories for years to come!
