While I love everything about my job as a Pennsylvania wedding photographer, I love when I can step away to spend quality time with my family. Today, I wanted to share some family photos from a trip we took to Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando!
Orlando Family Vacation Photography
I shared some of our family photos from our previous Orlando adventures in a blog post earlier this month. We were so blessed to take my mother in law, Laura, back to Orlando for a few days over winter break to celebrate a successful knee surgery! What better place to go than the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World?
One of my favorite things about going to Walt Disney World is how you can see stories brought to life. The kids and I love Toy Story. The movies are packed with so much creativity and some important lessons about being kids and being thankful for life! So, it was especially great to be able to visit Toy Story Land at the Magic Kingdom. We loved seeing the story and its characters in the real world. They were larger than life! We got to see the characters and ride the rides. Also, there’s nothing better in the wintertime than escaping cold weather and replacing it with sunny skies.
Magic Kingdom Family Photography
Growing up, my wife’s parents would take her to Cinderella’s Crystal Palace. So, to continue the tradition, we took Lydia and John Michael to that very palace! It was very nostalgic for Kate and Laura. I loved seeing the smile on their faces when we first arrived at the park and the grand palace towered above us. There were so many moments to cherish. Like when Lydia got to walk in a parade of Winnie the Pooh characters. She was absolutely over the moon! There were also so many moments filled with joy, like Kate on the carousel and the kids with their favorite characters. That’s the best part of a family vacation, capturing the joy. I am so happy we have these photo memories to reflect on!
I really enjoyed organizing this trip and being able to enjoy these happy moments with my family. Wedding photography is all about capturing moments, and I loved being able to slow down and capture some special moments of my own family! I loved photographing the Magic Kingdom. There are just magical moments around every corner. But some of my favorite photographs are the ones I took at the fireworks show! Cinderella’s Palace is lit in dreamy blue and purple colors, and then the fireworks explode overhead. It’s truly an amazing display and I was so happy to photograph it! I’m sure that we’ll be returning at some point in the future, but until then, please enjoy these happy moments from my family vacation to the Magic Kingdom!
