Back in May, I got to photograph the wedding of Alicia and Chuck at Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens in Intercourse, PA. What an amazing couple! I had such a blast with these two and I’m so glad they invited me to be their wedding photographer!
Alicia & Chuck’s Stoltzfus Homestead Wedding
Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens is one of my favorite wedding venues to take photos at! It offers some truly breathtaking Pennsylvania scenery and always make my clients stand out.
Alicia and Chuck have a truly amazing love story. They wrote to each other for almost eight months before they met. Chuck was in the Navy and miles below the surface in the LHD Bataan navy ship. He told me he fell in love with her while they were writing back and forth, and then all over again when they finally met!
Throughout the day, I was just reminded of how in love this couple was. I remembered back to when I shot their engagement photos and thinking, “Man, these guys really have it.” They were honestly just happy and thankful to be together and getting married. As a wedding photographer, you start to have an eye for those extra special couples that you know will just last the test of time. Chuck and Alicia are one of them!
They held the wedding ceremony in the Tobacco Barn, one of my absolute favorite spots on the homestead. It’s so rustic, yet retains such elegance. After that, we went traversing the homestead grounds for the wedding portraits. One of my favorite things to do at weddings is to steal the couple away for a second, before the reception and take a few shots of them in the reception venue, alone, with the lights dimmed. Stoltfus’s Grand Barn is perfect for this because it lets in just enough light and really sets the mood for the photos.
Alicia and Chuck, thank you so much for allowing me to be your wedding photographer! I had an amazing time with you two, for both your engagement photos and your wedding photos. Keep on keepin’ on. I wish you two the very best that life has to offer!
