As a Pennsylvania wedding photographer, I love finding beauty in moments. Whether photographing a farm wedding in the Lancaster County countryside or a downtown Philly wedding, my years of wedding photography have taught me to appreciate the story an image can tell. But when I am not photographing weddings, I love being able to photograph the most important thing in my own life — my family.
York Family Photography
Back in June, I was able to photograph a wonderful ice skating event in York, PA at the memorial ice rink. This show included solo performances and showcase programs complete with props and costumes. Showcase programs are some of my favorites to photograph. I can’t believe how much thought and creativity go into these skating exhibitions. The costumes and colors are just so beautiful. Each skater chose a costume and music to fit their style, so the routines were all so personal and memorable!
For this June 8th event, to tie in with the release of Toy Story 4, my kids thought it would be wonderful to do a quartet with a Toy Story theme. So my children, John Michael and Lydia were Woody and Bo Peep. They partnered up with their cousins, Jerry and Zoe who were Buzz Lightyear and Jessie. The kids love Toy Story. They were so excited when we were able to visit Toy Story Land during our Magic Kingdom family vacation so it was just so much fun for them to be able to put this skating routine together. It was just so wonderful to see them all together and happy.
I am so thankful to be a part of a community where such amazing events take place. Plus, I love how they embrace ice skaters of all ages and all skill levels. I would especially like to thank both Cari Bowen and Kala Enfield for coaching our children! Thank you for encouraging their love of skating!
