Jolene and Adam | A Central Park Engagement

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Central Park | New York City~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been looking forward to photographing my sister’s engagement and wedding pictures for years! We were so happy to hear of Jolene and Adam’s engagement, and when she called and said she wanted to do her engagement shoot at Central Park, I was excited!!  I love the energy and people in the city and it was really great to spend time with her and Adam. I took the train into the city, and Jolene met me at the train station.  The three of us walked around Central Park for a couple of hours, and took some amazing photos. My favorite images are the ones overlooking the lake and those with the city buildings in the background.  You can see how truly happy they are together in the pictures of them walking across the bridge, oblivious of all the people around them.
Jolene was instantly attracted to Adam when she first met him in Brooklyn, NY, where they lived just blocks from each other. She loves that he’s tall, fit and has the most beautiful blue eyes. As a matter of fact, she first entered him in her phone contacts as “Adam with dem Blue Eyes!”  On their first date, he swept her off her feet over a conversation about a book they were both reading. Then, on their second date, she knew she wanted to marry him when he offered to take her dinner on his motorcycle!  It didn’t take very long before Jolene and Adam began to fall in love. She loves his kind heart, and he loves her fantastic cooking!  Although they’re different in a lot of ways, they share the same values and principles, so their relationship is both exciting and solid.
Knowing marriage was in their future, Jolene and Adam had her engagement ring custom made by a jewelry studio in SoHo. Although Adam tried to surprise her, she knew it had been delivered and was waiting for that perfect moment. She had no idea it would be after a long day of doing chores…complete with messy hair and dirty clothes.  Adam must have thought she looked perfect because he couldn’t wait any longer and kneeled down right in her living room and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. She was so happy to say “YES!”
Jolene and Adam’s engagement session was really fun! New York City is one of my favorite places to visit. The weather was great and the day was relaxed and pleasant. Their photos turned out beautifully… the camera has always loved Jolene! Congratulations, Jolene and Adam! You guys make a wonderful couple! We are delighted to welcome Adam to our family!
