A Long’s Park Engagement Session | Lancaster, Pa

Emily and Brandon are one of those cute young couples that really enjoy being together. On the day of their engagement shoot, the weather was beautiful, giving us a lot of gorgeous natural light to work with. Sometimes guys aren’t really into getting their photos taken, but Brandon was amazing, and fun… which made it great for Emily, who looked beautiful and glowed with happiness. It’s so awesome when guys are so into their fiancé. It makes the session flow so much more naturally and becomes an enjoyable experience for all of us.

Emily and Brandon met on the job, and felt a connection immediately. Brandon’s first impression of Emily was that she was really nice and so easy to talk to. After the first day he met her, he knew he wanted to get to know her better. Her unintentional sense of humor was so cute to him.  Emily felt a spark right away when she first met Brandon. She felt like she could see him in her future, but didn’t think much more about it until later, when they got to know each other better.

As they started dating, Brandon loved how friendly Emily was to everyone…her natural personality shines through in all of her relationships.  To him, it’s amazing how easily she excels at whatever she sets her mind to. The fact that she’s unaware of this makes her even more dear to him, and he loves reminding her of how special she is. Emily loves that Brandon is so passionate and well-educated about so many things. His excitement and knowledge of things that interest him, like sports and history are very appealing to Emily. She says he’s the most loving and kind hearted man she has ever met. The fact that he treats her with so much respect makes her love him even more.

It was a beautiful day last spring, and Emily and Brandon were at Longwood Gardens. They were already planning their life together and thought they may had found the perfect home for their future. Things seemed a little unsure about the house and feeling disappointed over the prospect of not getting it, they took a day to get out in the fresh air and forget about the stress of it all. As they walked by the gorgeous Italian Gardens, Brandon’s voice started to sound a little shaky. As he got down on one knee, he said, “I love you so much, Emily. I know this house thing is a bit stressful, but now you can tell people that you’re buying a house with your fiancé, not just your boyfriend….Will you marry me?” She was so shocked that she felt almost like she blacked out! Her memory of the moment is that is was truly so special and private.

I’m really excited to capture their wedding day this September. They chose Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens as their venue because of the relaxed atmosphere and the perfect place to celebrate their love for one another. Emily and Brandon, congratulations on your engagement! I know your wedding will be beautiful!
