They were friends in high school, and then became college sweethearts. In 2014, Roy took Gabi to Lake Redman in York, Pa and asked her to be his girlfriend. Since that seemed to work for him, he decided to try the same place to ask her to be his wife. So, this past year, on a rainy day, they went back there, and Roy popped the question. Gabi was so happy to say yes! Ironically, on the day of their engagement shoot, it also rained! (On a positive note, in some cultures, this a symbol of good luck) The rain actually worked in our favor, and the photos turned out beautifully. Make sure you scroll down and see the rain images…they are stunning.
Gabi and Roy are thankful their relationship is built on a solid friendship. They are each other’s best friend. Gabi loves that Roy is such a genuine person and inspires her by always trying to be the best he can be. His sense of humor first attracted her to him, and they often share a good laugh over things that other people may not find funny at all. Roy loves that Gabi is such a good listener. Her quirkiness adds to her fun personality and they both can’t wait to be commit their lives to each other.
I was so delighted to hear that what they’re most looking forward to on their wedding day is the ceremony. They’re both so excited to promise each other forever, in front their families and friends. Believing their vows are sacred is a beautiful thing, and I’m so thankful this young couple finds that so important. Of course, the reception will be a great afterparty, but the ceremony will be the highlight of their day.
I’m also excited because they picked the beautiful Stone Mill Inn as their wedding venue. In the summer, it’s full of lush greenery and an abundance of flowers. They love the whimsical, romantic and peaceful atmosphere the Stone Mil Inn offers. Congratulations on your engagement, Gabi and Roy! I can’t wait to document your beautiful day!!
