When Michael first saw Lauren, it was as if the room lit up around her…He knew it was love at first sight. She thought he was really handsome but was too nervous to talk to him. That was over four years ago, on a trip to Philadelphia to see Christmas lights with mutual friends…those lights led to a date, which led to an engagement, which will lead to an October wedding this year!
Two years ago, on Michael’s birthday, Lauren took him to a nice restaurant. After a delicious dinner, they walked past a park that had hundreds of twinkling lights shining beautifully in the night. While pretending to take a ‘selfie’ of the two of them, Michael, actually took a video instead. He slowly lifted the engagement ring into view, then he got down on one knee, declared his undying love for Lauren and asked her to be his wife. She said yes!!!
Besides his good looks, Lauren loves how respectful and compassionate Michael is. He thinks she’s beautiful and her positive outlook on life is inspiring and contributes to her selflessness. We had a great time at their engagement shoot! They were both a little uncomfortable in front of the camera at first, but as the evening went on, they seemed to really enjoy themselves and we all had some good laughs. Both of them are such fun and sweet people. They’re so in love! When asked what they’re most looking forward to on their wedding day, Lauren said she can’t wait to see Micheal for the first time as she walks down the aisle, and Michael said he just can’t wait to be marry the love his life!
They chose Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens for their October wedding. They love the relaxed, family atmosphere. The “Tobacco Barn” gives you the feel of a traditional church wedding, but adds a laid-back, yet elegant beauty to the wedding ceremony. They’re really excited about having a campfire and s’mores for their guests later in the evening.
Thanks so much for an amazing engagement shoot, Michael and Lauren! I’m really looking forward to capturing the memories for you on your special day this fall!
