Kara + Trevor | Engaged

A Lancaster County Engagement Session | Overlook Park

They first met when they were barely teenagers. At first, he thought she was a snob and she thought she wasn’t interested in him at all.  Several weeks later, they talked at a party, and realized their first impressions were way off. They began spending time together, the way young people do…school activities, Friday nights at the skating rink, and hanging out in the quaint little town of Lititz. Their young relationship ended when Kara moved 3 hours away.

Fast forward to several years later, when they got re-connected on social media. After a few months of talking nonstop, they decided to celebrate their birthdays together, as their first date. After a nice dinner out, they decorated his place for Christmas. They realized they had something special and knew they had a future together.  On Christmas Day, four years later, with both of their families, Trevor asked Kara to spend forever with him.. She was so shocked because he had always said he wouldn’t propose on a holiday.  After Christmas dinner, everyone was relaxing by the fire. Trevor took Kara by the hand, gave a heartfelt speech and asked her to be his wife. Of course, she said yes!!!

Trevor is Kara’s best friend. She loves that he keeps her grounded and supports all of her decisions. She says he’s the most perfect man she could ask for. Even when she doesn’t feel like it, he can make her laugh. She can’t wait to be his wife!  When asked what he loves about Kara, Trevor responded, “What’s not to love?” He loves everything about her and she’s his best friend also. They’re so sweet and you can tell from the photos how much they really enjoy life together.

They chose Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens as their wedding venue. When they went to tour the gorgeous historical farm, it was love at first sight. They were looking for a venue that portrayed their style. They wanted to get married in a place that was beautiful, yet had a relaxing feeling with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves.  From the gorgeous barns and gardens, to the outdoor lounge areas and fire pits, Stoltzfus Homestead was a dream come true!

I’m so excited to capture their wedding memories for them! Congratulations on your engagement, Kara and Trevor! See you in May!
