When I first met Michaela and Kyle, I knew there was something special about them. They both have a joy that flows from deep within and when you’re with them, it’s contagious. Their wedding was truly special. Not only was it incredibly beautiful, it also had so many special moments that made it a day none of us will forget.
You may remember from the the engagement blog last year, Michaela and Kyle met in a leadership class but didn’t really connect until they were both at a Philadelphia Eagles game. Kyle couldn’t believe how gorgeous, kind and confident Michaela was….add to that, she was a die-hard Philly’s fan, and he had found the perfect girl! Michaela thought Kyle was handsome right away and loved how he could walk into any room or situation and get to know people really well. It didn’t take long for them to become exclusive and on a beautiful day last year, Kyle asked Michaela to spend forever with him.
Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens was their choice for a venue. It was the perfect time of year, with flowers in full bloom, and perfectly warm temps. Michaela was hoping for a fun wedding day, that was family oriented with a laid back feel. They picked the perfect venue to make their dreams come true. With outdoor games, plenty of places to relax and gardens to enjoy, there was something for everyone to do. A huge hit was the New Holland Coffee truck that came and served drinks to each guest. They even had a special “Bride’s Choice” and “Groom’s Choice” drink you could pick.
The day started with the ladies getting ready in the bridal suite. There was so much happiness and joy in the room, and everyone looked amazing. Michaela’s mother was there to help her get ready, and I got some great mother/daughter shots. Michaela is the only girl in her family so it was extra special for everyone to see her become a bride. When her father came in for a first look, there was hardly a dry eye in the room. It was such a special moment. Meanwhile, the guys were having a great time, getting ready, joking around and enjoying the gorgeous day.
The time finally came for the wedding ceremony. Michaela and Kyle did not have a first look, so when the barn doors opened in the Tobacco Barn, it was the first time Kyle saw his bride. His expression was priceless. There was a mixture of happy tears and open admiration on his face. The wedding was a beautiful tribute of their love for one another and their desire to keep God at the center of their marriage. When the pastor said “I do”, the happiness on both of their faces was radiant!
After getting some beautiful photos inside the barn and out around the homestead, we all headed in for an amazing reception. Michaela and Kyle had wanted their day to be “all about having a celebration with a wedding in the middle of all of the fun”. And that’s what they got! The reception was incredible. Michaela and her dad are really close, so their first dance was sweet and sentimental. Kyle is also very close with his mother, and their first dance was a beautiful example of the great relationship they have. With delicious food and drinks, and so many fun guests, it was definitely the party that were hoping for! The dancing thoughout the evening was lively, and the dance floor always had someone on it having a good time.
After one last special dance, Michaela and Kyle left with a sparkler sendoff! You can tell from their faces, they were so happy to be married.
Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Ebersole! It was a pleasure to capture the memories on your special day!!!
