I love capturing wedding memories for my couples, and I get to do that in a wide array of venues. Being close to beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, I do a lot of outdoor, barn and estate weddings. When I get to work in a more modern, eclectic venue like the Cork Factory Hotel, I really love it. I was so excited when Giulia and Geno asked me to photograph their wedding. It was gorgeous and fun! Their goal was for “a bunch of Italians to have a good time dancing, eating and drinking.” I think they achieved their goal.
Geno and Giulia were both single and tired of the dating game. They had become frustrated with online dating but decided to stick with it a little bit longer…and are they glad they did! It led them to each other and they clicked instantly. They were the perfect match. It wasn’t long before Geno asked Giulia to be his wife on July 4th on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. It was so perfect. What they love about each other is that they are both easy going (and we LOVE easy going brides!), loving, kind and supportive. They are truly each other’s bestfriend. And, that’s exactly how it should be…doing life with your best friend.
I asked Giulia to describe her wedding day to me and this is what she said,
“Our wedding day was everything we imagined it to be and more. Planning a wedding during the pandemic was actually really easy, laid back and simple, all thanks to the wonderful vendors I dealt with. Our wedding included around 140 people, all close immediate family and friends. We arrived at the Cork Factory Hotel the night prior to our wedding for our rehearsal dinner which was intimate and perfect. The next morning we woke and started getting ready for our magical day. Honestly, everything was so smooth, I can’t even think of a single hiccup that happened that day. The vibe and energy was nothing but love and happiness. The ceremony was short and sweet, then the reception was a BLAST. The food was incredible, the dance floor was packed, smiles on everyones faces; it was really the perfect day.”
We love it when a bride describes her wedding day as the perfect day. I too, thought it was an amazing day. Some things I loved about their wedding besides their obvious love for each other, was their incredibly kind wedding party. They were all so fun and supportive. The stringed quartet they hired was a beautiful addition to the special qualities of their day. I also loved how the ceremony and reception were in the same room. It only took the staff at the Cork Factory Hotel a short while to flip the room. It was stunning for both events.
Thank you Giulia and Geno for letting me be a part of it! Congratulations on your marriage! May you have many years of happiness as Mr and Mrs Zini!!!
