You may remember from the the engagement blog last year, that Michaela and Kyle met in a leadership class but didn’t really connect until they were both at a Philadelphia Eagles game. Kyle couldn’t believe how gorgeous, kind and confident Michaela was….add to that, she was a die-hard Philly fan, and he had found the perfect girl! Michaela thought Kyle was handsome right away and loved how we could walk into any room or situation and get to know people really well. It didn’t take long for them to become exclusive and on a beautiful day last year, Kyle asked Michaela to spend forever with him.
From the day they started talking about getting married, Anna dreamed of a fall wedding. It’s her favorite time of year, and will make the perfect time to celebrate their anniversary for years to come. When they visited Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens, they knew this would be the perfect place for autumn to show off all of it’s gorgeous rich colors and perfect temperatures. They loved the beautiful history behind the hometstead and the rustic feel it gave them at first sight. Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful and fall was in all of it’s glory on their special day.
Usually most of my blog posts are from the bride’s perspective. Today, I’m sharing one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been a part of…from the groom’s perspective. Emily and Brandon are such a sweet and amazing couple! You can tell from his words and from the tenderhearted emotional look on Brandon’s face when he first sees Emily, that he’s truly a romantic and caring guy.
The day had finally come. After nearly a year of planning, re-planning and planning again, Anya would finally be Mrs Joel Gatchell. They had met when they were pre-teens, and were high school sweethearts. After college, Anya began working as a nurse while Joel finished his senior year at Cedarville University. When COVID hit, Joel’s last semester of college, along with his last season of track was cut short, and he headed home to finish up. It was still months until their wedding, and they both thought that by June everything would be back to normal. I think we all thought (or hoped) that. Their venue and guest count changed so many times in the few months before their wedding, they were almost ready to just head to the courthouse, if they had to. Thankfully they didn’t have to that. Only a month before their wedding they booked the most beautiful location they could have dreamed of. The Barn at Artemis is a hidden gem, in the small community of Brogue. It over looks the Susquehanna River and has beautiful views from every direction. With it’s relaxing, natural and woodsy vibe, It was Anya’s dream come true.
