Abby and Jake met in a Biblical Studies course at Eastern University. They were in the same course and on the second day of class Jake’s seat got taken, so he had to sit in the seat next to Abby.
Scott first laid eyes on Kate for the first time in 2011 at a the restaurant, Lucy’s Hat Shop in Philadelphia. He was there with friends, and Kate was out celebrating her friend, Debbie’s birthday (who will be one of her bridesmaids). When Scott saw Kate from across the room, he said “She’s so beautiful.” Kate heard him, and smiled, but walked away. Later, Scott charmed his way into getting Kate’s phone number, but they didn’t see each other again for another six years. Along the way, they’d see each other post on Facebook and always thought the other was cute and interesting. In 2017, Kate was at Temple for law school, and Scott was working for Temple athletics. “When we realized we were so close to one another, we decided to finally go on a date. We had the best time, and continued hanging out. From then on, we realized one of our favorite things about one another is that when we are together, everything is better.” Kate loves Scott’s positivity, his smile, his energy and the way he’s so kind to everyone he meets. Scott loves how Kate lifts up and encourages others, is so passionate about the people and things she loves and cares about, and is so incredibly cute. She also makes him laugh 24/7. They make a great team and consider each other best friends.
Since the day Miranda and James met, it has been an exciting ride. I loved reading the answers to the questions I asked them…you can definitely tell they have a lively and devoted relationship! Our engagement sessions was awesome! We got some incredible photos, and laughed along the way. I’m looking forward to capturing this amazing couple’s wedding next year at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens!
I had an awesome engagement session with these two! They are so much fun and are naturals in front of the camera! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in just 3 weeks! Here’s a peek into their love story. We’ll be sharing the rest of it after the wedding, here, on the JM Journal!
Katie was convinced that she would never find true love…until she met John. After just one date, she couldn’t stop smiling. And on that first date, John was already in love with her! Fast forward over 4 years later, and I was honored to photograph their gorgeous fall wedding at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens.
If you saw Anne and Brandon’s engagement session on the blog, you know they’re an incredibly fun couple that are truly best friends and are so in love. Their wedding was amazing and I’ve been so excited to share it with you! They chose Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens as their venue. The gorgeous barns, beautiful […]
When Yulia and Alex asked me to photograph their wedding, I was so excited. Before I actually met them, it was because I love weddings at The Cork Factory Hotel. They chose The Cork Factory because of it’s perfect location for both of their families. The industrial chic-boutique hotel is set in a 19th Century factory and is a popular wedding venue in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After spending time with them at their engagement session, I was even more excited because Alex and Yulia are such an amazing couple! They’re super sweet and their love for each other is so evident! They both totally have their A game when it comes to a photo shoot. Yulia brought some awesome props and the shoot ended up being one of the funnest I’ve done. I know you’ll love their photos.
It was their junior year at Penn State University, and a group of friends was meeting at Panera for a reprieve from final exams. Andrew and Shaniece met that week and hit it off right away. Andrew thought she was beautiful and kind. He loved that she was so easy to talk to. Shaniece was wearing a shirt with bees printed on it, and since he finds honeybees fascinating, he was excited to talk to her about it. Shaniece was in a relationship at the time, but still noticed that Andrew was attractive and really funny. He was so outgoing and talking to him was effortless. It would be a year before they spoke again.
Congratulations on your engagement! I’m so honored to be your photographer and can’t wait until your engagement session. These photos aren’t just about getting images for your “Save the Date Cards”. They’ll be a timeless treasure, as I capture your love in a more natural, relaxed setting. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and have fun while I create images you will cherish for a lifetime. We’ll also get to know each other a little better before your big day. We’ll test out some poses and I’ll get to know your personalities a little more, which will make your wedding day photos go a whole lot smoother. Your only job is to be yourself, enjoy your fiancé and let me take the photos you will love forever. I can’t wait to get you in front of my camera!
James and Abby’s engagement shoot was awesome! They have such great chemistry and look amazing together! They’re definitely a couple with a determined commitment and patient devotion to each other and their future marriage.
