As she walked along the path leading to her future groom, she was amazed at the beauty all around her. Beautiful flowers, pristine trees…all of nature seemed to be waiting for the grand event to take place! In Jenna’s mind, it was like a wonderful dream. The day had finally arrived for her to pledge her love to Chris forever and she couldn’t have imagined it being any more perfect.
When I saw Travis’s cowboy boots and Brittany’s sparkly heels, I knew I had seen their personalities in true “shoe form”. Their wedding was a beautiful combination of class and elegance with just a little touch of country. Set in the gorgeous Amish countryside, Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens was the perfect place for this amazing couple to say “I do”.
Scott first laid eyes on Kate for the first time in 2011 at a the restaurant, Lucy’s Hat Shop in Philadelphia. He was there with friends, and Kate was out celebrating her friend, Debbie’s birthday (who will be one of her bridesmaids). When Scott saw Kate from across the room, he said “She’s so beautiful.” Kate heard him, and smiled, but walked away. Later, Scott charmed his way into getting Kate’s phone number, but they didn’t see each other again for another six years. Along the way, they’d see each other post on Facebook and always thought the other was cute and interesting. In 2017, Kate was at Temple for law school, and Scott was working for Temple athletics. “When we realized we were so close to one another, we decided to finally go on a date. We had the best time, and continued hanging out. From then on, we realized one of our favorite things about one another is that when we are together, everything is better.” Kate loves Scott’s positivity, his smile, his energy and the way he’s so kind to everyone he meets. Scott loves how Kate lifts up and encourages others, is so passionate about the people and things she loves and cares about, and is so incredibly cute. She also makes him laugh 24/7. They make a great team and consider each other best friends.
Since the day Miranda and James met, it has been an exciting ride. I loved reading the answers to the questions I asked them…you can definitely tell they have a lively and devoted relationship! Our engagement sessions was awesome! We got some incredible photos, and laughed along the way. I’m looking forward to capturing this amazing couple’s wedding next year at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens!
I had an awesome engagement session with these two! They are so much fun and are naturals in front of the camera! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in just 3 weeks! Here’s a peek into their love story. We’ll be sharing the rest of it after the wedding, here, on the JM Journal!
They first met when they were barely teenagers. At first, he thought she was a snob and she thought she wasn’t interested in him at all. Several weeks later, they talked at a party, and realized their first impressions were way off. They began spending time together, the way young people do…school activities, Friday nights at the skating rink, and hanging out in the quaint little town of Lititz. Their young relationship ended when Kara moved 3 hours away.
It was their junior year at Penn State University, and a group of friends was meeting at Panera for a reprieve from final exams. Andrew and Shaniece met that week and hit it off right away. Andrew thought she was beautiful and kind. He loved that she was so easy to talk to. Shaniece was wearing a shirt with bees printed on it, and since he finds honeybees fascinating, he was excited to talk to her about it. Shaniece was in a relationship at the time, but still noticed that Andrew was attractive and really funny. He was so outgoing and talking to him was effortless. It would be a year before they spoke again.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, so it was inevitable that I would be a Steeler’s fan. Some of my favorite memories are going to the football games with my dad. You can imagine my excitement when I found out Sarah and Jake were big fans of my favorite NFL football team! Our engagement session was great! We had a good time walking around Overlook Park, getting to know each other, and of course, talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers.
